'Trending Taiwan' has entered its 9th year and over the past 8 years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has collected more than a thousand stories, capturing unique and touching moments in this land called Taiwan: unwavering values, ethnic integration, life and environment, intergenerational cultural heritage and gender equality.
As tradition and innovation meet, people across generations are creating their own trends and freely expressing their viewpoints. Over time, we have gradually developed our unique style, while embracing a strong sense of pride and confidence towards our own culture.
This year, a new “Reel-style Short Video Award” has been introduced, allowing unbounded creativity.
So what are you waiting for? We know you share our passion for this land, so we once again invite you to capture every splendid moment of Taiwan through the lens. Let Taiwan stories continue to shine brightly on the global stage!


Objectives:
We’re keen to select outstanding short films that capture the societal beauty or cultural ambiance unique to Taiwan, featuring inspiring local stories or ephemeral moments of beauty that you think would appeal to an international audience.
In addition to Creative Theme Categroy and the Student Special Category of short videos no longer than 3 minutes in length, we are introducing a new Reel-style Short Video Categroy to encourage reel/short style(9:16) vertical submissions of 60 seconds or less in length.

Submission Period: July 20 – September 30, 2023 (before 23:59:59 Taipei time)
