Alien Resident Certificate
Resident-visa holder must apply for Alien Resident Certificate (abbr. ARC) via the Online Application System of National Immigration Agency within 15 days after arriving Taiwan. Late application will result in extra fine.
Visitor-visa holder must prepare the required documents to Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) in Taipei to apply for resident visa. After getting resident visa, applicant must apply for ARC via the Online Application System of National Immigration Agency within 15 days. Late application will result in extra fine.

Student resident visa holders should only apply for student ARC through the Online ARC Application System (it is open for foreign students and overseas Chinese students).
