NYCU is a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), and we are invited to participate in the Multi-Hazards summer school. We warmly welcome applications from our students (master's level and above), faculty, and researchers to join enthusiastically!
Introduction: APRU MH Summer School will be held on 29 July –1 August at IRIDeS, Tohoku University. The topic of the program is “Cross-border Collaborations as a Tool for Addressing Disaster Risks.” Graduate students and young researchers interested in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and management are welcome to join this event.

- 07/29:Opening, International Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction & Lessons learnt from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
- 07/30:Experience and case studies by various stakeholders, Group Activity
- 07/31:DRR researches and initiatives by APRU member universities, Group Activity
- 08/01:Field trip to the affected site
- Fee and Participants: All currently enrolled NYCU students, faculty, and researchers are welcome to participate (regardless of nationality).
- This summer school has no registration fee, but participants are responsible for their own airfare, accommodation, and related expenses.
- Registration: Please complete the REGISTRATION FORM, with registration being centrally managed by the Office of International Affairs.
- *Kindly ensure that the form is filled out by June 5, 2026, 12:00PM. We regret any inconvenience caused by the adherence to these timelines. No late submissions will be accepted.
